Detectives in Devonport have released EvoFIT images of the two teenagers they are trying to trace in connection with an attack on a pregnant woman on Friday 31 July.

The teenage boy is described as being 14 or 15, with mousy brown bobbed hair, 6ft tall and of skinny build. He was wearing dark jeans and bright white trainers.

The teenage girl is described as being 14 or 15, with long dark brown straight hair with streaks. She was about 5ft 4ins tall.  She was wearing a white lacy t-shirt, denim shorts and white jelly sandals.

The 24-year-old local woman, who was 17 weeks pregnant, was alone when she was approached by the teenagers in Evelyn Street in the St Budeaux area of Plymouth.

The boy grabbed the victim’s purse out of her hand and the girl then pushed the woman in the stomach causing her to fall back against a wall.

The victim suffered minor back and internal injuries as a result of the incident that happened between 9.45pm and 10pm.

Officers are appealing to the public for information about the identity of the teenagers and are keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything.

Detective Constable John-Paul Eccles, based at Devonport police station, said:  “I would like to reassure residents that this is an unusual and isolated incident which is rare for this quiet residential area of Plymouth.”
