Parents’ votes mean another award for The Donkey Sanctuary

The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth has just received a runners-up award in the Primary Times Star Awards.

Nominated by readers of the Devon edition of Primary Times, the runners-up accolade in the ‘Best Value for Money’ category in their 2024 Star Awards comes hot on the heels of a clutch of awards for the sanctuary as 2024 came to a close.

The Donkey Sanctuary picked up two Golds in the 2024-25 Devon Tourism Awards, a prestigious accolade from Visit England, a Gold standard award in the Food Drink Devon awards, not to mention Devon's Top Attractions’ ‘Loo of the Year’ award too.

Primary Times has 59 editions across the UK and Ireland, and caters for parents, pupils and educators within the primary school sector. Their Star Awards give the public the opportunity to nominate their favourite local attractions.

Pipping The Donkey Sanctuary to the top spot this time was Crealy Theme Park and Resort near Exeter, who were winners in the ‘Best Value for Money’ category.

More than 400,000 people visit The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth every year, many no doubt will be readers of Primary Times, and make it a leading attraction in the region and a great benefit to local businesses.
