Otter Garden Centres kicks off Christmas with special event

Get ready to embrace the magic of Christmas as Otter Garden Centres launch their festive shopping event at all seven branches across Devon, Somerset, and Hampshire. Taking place on Wednesday October 30, it’s sure to get the Christmas spirit well and truly fizzing.

Each Otter branch will be welcoming customers with a complimentary glass of prosecco, mulled wine or soft drink, and tempting seasonal treat such as mince pies. The coffee shops and restaurants will all be open, serving a varied selection of fare, from coffee and cakes to a full festive menu depending on the branch.

To get customers in the mood all centres will play Christmas tunes and some will have live music - including bellringers in Ottery St Mary and a local choir in Plymouth - as well as special demonstrations to inspire new ways of dressing Christmas trees and decorating the Christmas table. Most centres will have seasonal food tastings featuring the likes of Cottage Delight and Cartwright & Butler.

A beautiful hamper worth around £100 will be up for grabs in the free-to-enter raffle; there’s one for each garden centre - so seven customers will get lucky!

Otter’s Marketing Manager Chris Amphlett said: “All our Christmas displays will be out and ready for customers to enjoy. We’re really pulling out all the stops this year so it’s a great chance to start browsing for decorations, lighting and gifts. Last year the event was so popular we had to send out for extra fizz, suffice to say that this time we’ve ordered extra supplies!”

Otter’s festive shopping event is open from 4 to 7.30pm, with Wincanton opening from 2.30 to 7.30pm.
