Man's body washed ashore on Perranporth beach

Police in Cornwall are appealing for information from the public to help identify a man whose body was washed ashore on Perranporth beach.

A member of the public discovered the man’s body on the beach near to the Watering Hole bar around 2pm yesterday (25 February).

Police are conducting enquiries to establish the man’s identity and the circumstances surrounding his death which is being treated as unexplained.

Officers have released a description of the man and are asking the public to contact them with any information which may assist the investigation.

He is described as white, aged 50 to 70, and between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 7ins tall.

He had white receding hair and a bushy white beard.
