Man named following Plymouth death
The family of 60-year-old John Olver (pictured), who died in Plymouth on Sunday 2 July, have made the following tribute:
The family said: “Avid Plymouth Argyle fan, John Olver, sadly taken too soon. An amazing, loving father of three and a doting grandfather of seven, will be terribly missed by all the family. Rest in peace dad. As a family we would like to thank all the emergency services for all the help they provided.”
Detectives launched a murder investigation following the suspicious death of a man in Plymouth on Sunday 2 July.
Police were called at around 12.40am on Sunday morning by paramedics after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man outside The Clarence pub in Stonehouse, Plymouth.
On arrival, paramedics found a man in his 60s collapsed and after several attempts made to resuscitate him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ashley Lawman, 25, from Stoke, Plymouth, has been charged with manslaughter.
