Half term at the National Marine Aquarium

This Half Term the National Marine Aquarium is proudly taking part in BIAZA’s (British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums) ‘Love My Zoo’ campaign.

The campaign aims to encourage people to visit their local BIAZA zoos and aquariums and to not only have a great day out, but also learn just how much the charity does for conservation, education and research.  

You will have the opportunity to put your creative skills to the test with various hands-on ‘Love My Zoo’ craft activities.

If you have ever wondered what really happens behind the scenes at the Aquarium, they can look forward to the daily ‘Scientist on the Sofa’ show, which will shine the spotlight on various members of Aquarium staff to share their marine experiences and responsibilities. 

The many marine-based tales will amaze, excite and educate guests of all ages throughout the half term.   

In addition to supporting the ‘Love My Zoo’ campaign, turtle fans will be able to marvel at the live daily turtle show, join in with turtle-based arts and craft activities, and even look forward to a visit from Myrtle the Turtle.
