First Graduate Sculpture Show a Huge Success
Graduates from The Sculpture School’s first 12 month intensive realist figurative course are relishing the success of their end of year show which attracted over 250 visitors and sales of their artwork that far exceeded expectations.
The One Year Figurative Sculpture Course at The Sculpture School in West Devon teaches students the skills they need to develop a career as professional sculptors. Something no other course in the country can do. Their course culminated with an exhibition, curated by themselves which featured on BBC Spotlight.
The Sculpture School is delighted to have welcomed so many people to their studio following their appearance on the local news channel. The interest it generated has led to one of their students selling 10 of their sculptures and a lot of local interest in their sculpture taster days and courses. Diane Coates-Sinclair, Director of The Sculpture School explains,
“It’s been wonderful to showcase what our One Year Students have achieved as well as share what we teach and do here in the studio and workshop with so many lovely visitors. We’re now looking forward to welcoming four new students on the next One Year course, next week!”
There will be plenty of opportunities for visitors to appreciate their realist figurative works of art, as the Sculpture School is planning more exhibitions in the future and will be taking part in Devon Open Studios in September.
