Fire in disused paper factory believed to have been started deliberately
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue suspect that a fire in a disused paper factory was started deliberately.
Two appliances from Crownhill and Camels Head were mobilised to reports of a building on fire in Southway Drive, Plymouth on Sunday evening.
On arrival crews discovered smoke issuing from the building of two floors that used to be used as a paper converting factory.
The fire was on the first floor and was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a thermal imaging camera.
Natural ventilation was also used to clear the smoke.
The cause was determined to be deliberate.
