Drake Circus confirms festive period opening hours

For those looking to fit in some last-minute festive shopping, Drake Circus has confirmed its opening times in the run up to Christmas.  

More than 30 stores at the centre will be staying open until 9pm on Thursdays, with other weekday opening times from 9am - 6pm, and on Christmas Eve (24th December) the centre will be open from 10am-4pm. Restaurants and leisure operators at The Barcode will be open later throughout the festive period.

Drake Circus’ seasonal activities will also continue right up until Christmas Eve, with a visit from The Soundhouse Brass band on the Thursday 21st and Saturday 23rd of December, as well as the magical ‘snow flurries’ taking place every day at 4pm at the Old Town Street entrance.  

Greg Lumley, centre director at Drake Circus and The Barcode, said: “We know that Christmas can be a really busy time of year for everyone, so we want to give our visitors plenty of time to get everything they need whilst getting into the festive spirit.

“We’re open right up until Christmas Eve, and we look forward to welcoming visitors doing their Christmas shopping or enjoying the range of seasonal celebrations on offer at Drake Circus over the coming weeks.”

The centre will also offer visitors free parking for up to three hours on New Years Day.

Drake Circus’ full opening times for the festive period are:

  • Sunday 24th December (Christmas Eve) – 10am - 4pm
  • Monday 25th December (Christmas Day) – Closed
  • Tuesday 26th December (Boxing Day) – 9am - 6pm
  • Wednesday 27th December – 9am - 6pm
  • Thursday 28th December – 9am - 8pm
  • Friday 29th December 9am - 6pm
  • Saturday 30th December – 9am - 6pm
  • Sunday 31st December (New Years Eve) – 10:30am - 4:30pm
  • Monday 1st January (New Years Day) – 10:30am - 4:30pm

 

Please note these opening hours may vary by store, especially on Bank Holidays, and Drake Circus and The Barcode always recommends checking with individual retailers, restaurants and leisure operators before setting off to avoid disappointment.
