Appeal after dog's body dumped in Plympton
THE RSPCA is appealing for information after the body of a dead dog was found in a bag in Plympton.
The RSPCA was called by a member of the public who had made the upsetting discovery in the Ridgeway on Thursday (8 June) at 7.40pm.
It is unknown what happened to the dog or how she came to be dumped in the carrier bag so the animal welfare charity is asking the public to help their investigation.
RSPCA inspector Jim Farr said: “We are appealing for information to see if anybody knows anything about this dog which has been found with a severe head trauma.
“We don’t know what has happened or how she came to be dumped in the bag and sadly she has no microchip so we can’t identify the owner.
“If anyone recognises this dog, knows where she may have come from, or saw anything suspicious in the area when her body was dumped then I’d really like to hear from them.
“Anyone with any information which could help our investigation should contact the RSPCA appeal line on 0300 123 8018.”
