I Need You

Local author, Harry Hudson is taking a unique approach to promoting his new crime fiction book.

I Need You, the first in the Harlan Action Thriller Series, follows the adventures of a charismatic and highly-principled outlaw biker and nightclub bouncer. Set in Plymouth, Harlan is hired to help a troubled wine bar owner after his venue is taken over by an organised crime gang. 

Harlan is a member of the fictional Satan’s Security Motorcycle Club (MC) and so Harry and his team thought it would be fun to make the experience as real as possible for readers. As well as the book, readers will have the opportunity to join the MC online. 

Hudson, who was born in Devon and now lives in Cornwall, explained: ‘We knew the book would appeal to the biker community but were surprised at the diversity of Harlan's social media following. One lady in the US told us that although she is 75, she still has a little outlaw in her!’ 

The online MC will launch on Friday 21 April and is thought to be the first of its kind. It will be open to everyone; you don’t need a motorbike to join! The club will be run as a not-for-profit and any funds raised from its activities will be donated to local community projects or members in need.
