Fragrance Group's new seafront hotel debuts first-of-its-kind dry spa
The ibis Styles Paignton Hotel has today announced the opening of its new ‘Drift’ dry spa, representing a first-of-its-kind in the hotel group’s UK collection.
Open to hotel guests and local residents every Wednesday to Sunday, the new Drift spa boasts the unique distinction of being the first in the ibis Styles’ nation-wide portfolio to offer three beauty treatment rooms alongside a fully-equipped gym.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a range of personalised wellness experiences, designed to promote holistic well-being, from traditional massages and luxury manicures to more bespoke, specialist treatments such as reflexology and oncology to support cancer care.
The ibis Styles Paignton is the latest £30 million venture from Singapore-based owner Fragrance UK Luxury Hotel Group, who opened their neighbouring hotel, the Mercure Paignton Hotel, back in April 2023. Both sites are franchised by the world class Accor group and operated by RBH Hospitality and represent a combined investment in the local area of £70 million.
The opening of the ibis Styles Paignton Hotel’s Drift dry spa signifies its unique offering to local residents and visitors from further afield, as well as the company's long-term commitment to boosting the local economy and putting Paignton on the map as a premier UK holiday destination.

With 121 spacious and comfortable bedrooms, ranging from standard to superior, the interior design draws inspiration from mythical shorelines as well as the surrounding seaside landscapes, characterised by playful palettes of aqua blues and bold neons.
The hotel also offers an all-day dining experience at Deller’s Cafe, a contemporary space overlooking the sea, blending British seaside cuisine with American diner inspiration like an ice-cream parlour and waffle bar.
