RGB serves up curry and care in support of Movember
RGB Building Supplies recently hosted special curry evenings at local restaurants, treating customers and their friends to dinner as part of its “The Best Mate Curry Date” initiative.
The winners joined RGB staff for evenings of food and conversation, all in support of Movember and its mission to raise awareness about men’s health, with a particular focus on the mental health challenges faced by those in the construction industry.
The customers were selected to attend the evenings after taking part in RGB’s scratch-card competition. Each winner brought a friend to join RGB staff for a curry.
Throughout November, RGB raised over £700 for Movember. This was achieved through generous customer donations and a silent auction featuring items that included BOSE headphones, a Ninja Air Fryer, a BOSE TV speaker and an Amazon Fire 13th Generation tablet.
Paul Hague, Branch Manager at RGB in Tiverton, commented:
“We’re delighted with the success of “The Best Mate Curry Date” events and the generosity shown by our customers and staff. The initiative wasn’t just about raising funds; it was about creating an opportunity for people to connect, have important conversations and support each other. Mental health is a significant issue in the construction industry, and we’re proud to play our part in raising awareness and supporting Movember’s vital work.”
