Leading telecoms firm secures major contract
BUSINESS telecommunications firm IP Office Ltd has won a major contract to help a Plymouth health care centre further improve its customer service to patients.
The contract to provide a new telephone system for Ernesettle Primary Care Centre will allow a network of four surgeries - Ernesettle, Cumberland, Mount Gould and Trelawny - to operate independently from the main Derriford Hospital switchboard, which they currently use.
It is the latest health sector contract won by IP Office based in Exeter. In the last two months, ten health centres and doctor surgeries have turned to IP Office to provide new communications systems which aim to help improve customer service for thousands of patients across the South West.
Others joining IP Office Ltd’s customer base are Highbridge Medical Centre in Somerset, Wheal Northey Surgery in St Austell and The Rame Group Practice in Torpoint. Also on board is Roborough Surgery Health Centre with its 10,000 patients and Stirling Road and Collins Park Surgeries, all three of which are based in Plymouth.
Richard Hill, sales manager for IP Office Ltd, said: “We are proud to be supplying such a prestigious group as Ernesettle PCC and hope that our ground-breaking technologies will lead to further business within the health sector.
“The main reason behind the move away from Derriford Hospital is to bring in an encrypted call recorder which will manage risk when handling GP advice calls and improve patient service with a more robust system. It will also provide patients call queuing and flexible working for staff across all locations.
“In the space of two months we have added 10 new surgeries to our customer base which is great testament to how we are fast becoming the first choice for health centres in the South West.
“Communication for health centres and surgeries is vital not just for improving customer service but in also meeting government set call handling times. It is great to see so many surgeries turning to us to provide solutions to their communications needs.
“In addition, we have recently been invited to attend, for the second successive year, the annual Any Qualified Provider (AQP) event for practice managers throughout the Devon and Cornwall area. This means we are able to meet up with practice managers who are looking to improve their own technologies.”
