Designated a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) for its geology, flora and fauna, the gorge is filled with temperate rainforest. It’s the perfect backdrop for romantic Valentine’s Day walk.

Methodology:

  • A list of 60 popular places in Devon was compiled from a range of articles.
  • Using TripAdvisor reviews, the study analysed reviews for each place using the ‘couples’ type of visit filter, only looking at those with over 100 reviews to find the percentage of couples who rated the place five stars out of all couple reviews.
  • These were then ranked highest to lowest to reveal the most romantic.
