Wagamama goes harbourside at Royal William Yard
Wagamama, the Japanese-inspired restaurant, is opening the doors to its highly anticipated new branch at the Plymouth Royal William Yard development on 28 April. The restaurant will feature a bar serving cocktails and will be part of the multi-million pound new Brewhouse building development on the site of the former Royal Naval complex. The restaurant is also creating 35 new jobs for the local area.
The new Wagamama restaurant will offer residents and visitors to Royal William Yard a choice of flavourful rice dishes, seasonal salads, Wagamama’s ever-popular noodles and delicious desserts. The Plymouth restaurant will include a bar element, which is only present in one other Wagamama restaurant in the UK, and will serve a variety of cocktails designed by mixologists to complement the Japanese-inspired menu: perfect for pre-dinner drinks and to take in the view of the harbour
Wagamama favourites including yaki soba, chicken and prawn pad thai and chilli squid will be served to thousands of diners over the coming months, and the restaurant will offer a large 79-seated alfresco area for warmer weather dining, as well as a large indoor area for 110 people. There is a kids' menu too.
“Royal William Yard is an exciting new expansion and we think Wagamama will be a perfect fit in the brewhouse for visitors and residents of Plymouth,” said General Manager Sam Werner. “We hope Wagamama fans as well as new noodle lovers will come and try the Japanese-inspired cuisine we have on offer at this stunning location in the sea air!”
Wagamama has built a reputation for helpful, friendly service and value for money with a menu of Japanese-inspired dishes and sleek, stylish interiors. Wagamama highlight that its restaurants pride themselves on the quality and speed of its service. Orders are prepared immediately, ensuring they arrive freshly cooked. Although dishes may be delivered at different times, Wagamama say their philosophy is: "don’t wait – just tuck in and share!"
