Festive fun for families at City Museum and Art Gallery
Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery’s Make and Take'programme for December has a decidedly festive feel, with two creative workshops for all the family.
On Saturday 14 December there's a chance to make a variety of Christmas-themed keepsakes to take home, including spiral hats, candy cones, pom-pom decorations and wrist bands.
The ‘Santa Stops Here’ sessions will run from 11am to midday and from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.
The second event, on Christmas Eve, is called Twas the Night Before Christmas. Again, two sessions will run from 11am to midday and from 1.30pm to 2.30pm and this time youngsters will be able to write a note for Father Christmas, decorate a plate for Rudolph’s carrots and make a paper bag puppet.
Admission to all the sessions is free but donations are welcomed. People are advised to book their places in advance by calling 01752 304774.
The Museum's Make and Take programme is a series of seasonal Saturday workshops that provide adults with the ideal opportunity to spend some time with their children while helping them develop their creative skills.
Event themes for the early part of 2014 include the Chinese New Year, Lent, Mother’s Day and Easter. More information is available on the what’s on pages at www.plymouthmuseum.gov.uk
