Students at Bideford College are celebrating after receiving their GCSE results
Students and staff at Bideford College located in North Devon, part of Athena Learning Trust, are celebrating today as they receive their GCSE grades.
After much hard work studying and preparing, pupils at the academy have been collecting a set of fantastic GCSE results, demonstrating their dedication and tenacity to their studies over the last two years.
The whole school community has come together to mark the achievements of all the students, who have worked exceptionally hard over the past couple of years to secure these grades.
Alongside the continued success of the college, there are also some standout individual performances, including:
- Daisy Williams who achieved 5 grade 9’s, 4 grade 8’s and a grade 7.
- Matthew Cloke achieving 4 grade 9's, a distinction*, 2 grade 8’s, 3 grade 7’s and a grade 5.
- Henry Callaghan achieved 5 grade 9’s, a grade 8, 2 grade 7’s a BTEC pass and a grade 5.
- Millie Thurlow achieved strong GCSE passes in 11 subjects including a grade 9 in Business Studies and grade 8’s in Biology, English Language, Maths and RE.
- Sam Robinson, who has just returned from the world scout jamboree in South Korea has been awarded a grade 9, 3 grade 8’s, 4 grade 7’s and 2 grade 6’s.
Dr Claire Ankers at Bideford College, said: “I am extremely proud of our students who are receiving their GCSE grades today. They have worked hard over the last two years and they fully deserve these successful results”.
