Business Builder Forum at Ridgeway School

Post 16 students from Ridgeway School took part in a Business Builder Forum recently.

The event was organised by Plymouth company Business Vision, and started with a presentation from its owner, Marc Lawson on how to grow a business.

This was then followed by an inspirational presentation from former Olympic gold medallist and TV personality Kris Akabusi who charted his journey all the way to the Olympics and beyond. He explained that those with the vision and passion to succeed will do through self -motivation and the support of those around you.

Matt Matthew, Business Manager at Ridgeway School, said “Kris’ infectious humour and passion to succeed is a truly inspirational role model for everyone. The purpose of the event was to show our students exactly what can be achieved if they set their minds to it as they will soon be facing a world of endless opportunities”.

Hayden Minhinick, Post 16 Business Studies student, said “Having the opportunity to hear and see such great role models is fantastic for us, hearing Kris Akabusi speak is certainly entertaining and motivational”.
