Rock climbing, caving and canoeing were just some of the activities that Plympton Academy students took part in recently.

The Year 7 students were on a residential trip at Adventure International in Bude. Accompanied by their tutors, teaching assistants, Head of Year and Pastoral mentor, the aim of the trip was to encourage independence, team building, taking up new challenges, to build self- confidence and develop social skills.

Student Joshua Wallace said the trip was, “Fun, exhausting, amazing, excellent, thrilling and cool.”

“I felt challenged and out of my comfort zone,” said fellow student Eloise Trevor.

“The trip has changed my views because I didn’t think I could go caving, but I did,” said Max Henson, Year 7 student.
