The Adventure Time Activity Club, which operates out of Stoke Fleming Primary School (part of Education South West) has received a positive report from Ofsted after being inspected last month.

Ofsted inspectors noted that children arrive with big smiles and that all children are kind and respectful to one another.  They also stated that staff make sure all children are engaged and have high levels of well-being.

The support staff provide children to learn about healthy lifestyles was also commented on with Ofsted concluding that they further children's knowledge about food and good mental health.

The club opens from Monday to Friday during term time, from 7.40am until 8.30am and from 3.05pm until 5.45pm. It also operates occasionally during the school holidays.  The manager holds a Forest School Leader Level 4  qualification and a childcare qualification at Level 2.

Other comments from Ofsted included:

  • Parents comment highly on the provision; they state their children 'never want to go home' and form great friendships.
  • Parents value the flexible service and the 'home from home' environment where their children feel safe and secure.
  • Children are proud of what they have made and are eager to show their parents when they come to collect them.

Georgia Taylor & Andrea Hall, Heads of School at Stoke Fleming Primary School said:

“We are absolutely delighted with the recent Ofsted report for the Adventure Time Activity Club.  The club leaders work in close partnership with the school and it’s brilliant to see their excellent provision recognised by Ofsted.”

Matthew Shanks, CEO of Education South West said:

“Many congratulations to the leaders of the Adventure Time Activity Club on their glowing Ofsted report.  It’s clear what a wonderful and supportive environment they provide and how happy both parents and children are with the club.”
