Forever Hounds Trust receives share of huge food donation worth over £20,000.00
A greyhound and lurcher rescue centre in Devon is celebrating after being nominated to receive a share of a total food donation worth over £20,000.00 from pet food manufacturer, Burgess Pet Care.
During its digital campaign, the Greyhound & Lurcher Two-week Takeover, Burgess asked its followers to nominate independent greyhound and lurcher rescue centres they would like to receive a share of the substantial food donation – its largest to date.
Forever Hounds Trust was one of six lucky rescues across the UK to receive the highest number of nominations and has since received over 100 12.5kg bags of Burgess Greyhound & Lurcher dry dog food.
Erin McNair, brand manager at Burgess Pet Care, said: -
“It has been fantastic to receive such an incredible response to this year’s campaign and we are so grateful to everyone who took the time to nominate the rescue centres close to their hearts. Forever Hounds Trust does amazing work all year round and we are delighted that they have received another donation from us.
“We’re proud to be supporting some amazing rescue centres with our largest food donation yet and doing our bit to support their incredible work.”
Now in its fifth year, Burgess’ Greyhound & Lurcher campaign reached thousands of people during the two-week takeover of its social media channels to share information about greyhounds and lurchers and what makes them wonderful pets. The campaign also highlighted some of the fantastic work carried out by UK greyhound and lurcher rescue centres, including animals in need of homes and adoption success stories.
Burgess Pet Care’s Greyhound & Lurcher takeover campaign will return in 2025.
