The Student Housing Company Launches Plymouth's tallest Building

The Student Housing Company has today officially opened the doors of the much anticipated Sky Lounge in Plymouth’s new tallest building, Beckley Point. The new space will offer the public panoramic views over Dartmoor out to as far as Cornwall. The launch of the new 78m high Sky Lounge was attended by local businesses, university stakeholder as well as representatives from the multi award-winning student accommodation operator and its parent company, GSA. 

The Student Housing Company invested £29.5m in the 78m skyscraper, which provides 505 student beds in a combination of high quality studio apartments and ensuite flats over 20 floors. Students, who can also make the most of the breath-taking views on offer from the unique Sky Lounge, have access to a range of shared communal spaces including a common room, a cinema room and a games room.

Located in the centre of Plymouth, Beckley Point offers state of the art student accommodation, and is situated adjacent to Plymouth University and Plymouth College of Art. It is also within easy access to the cities popular shopping areas, restaurants and bars and just a short walk from Plymouth’s train station.
