Devon & Somerset ‘Better Business for All’ Survey
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service (DSFRS) are working with other local regulators across Devon and Somerset to develop a co-ordinated and consistent approach to assisting businesses in meeting their regulatory requirements.
For DSFRS this means helping businesses by giving advice and support in managing fire safety within their premises and ensuring that they are complying with the law. The Fire Service are fully committed to ensuring that people who work in and visit businesses are safe from fire and that business will receive consistent advice and information to ensure effective business continuity.
To help us and other Regulators in providing the correct level of advice and guidance, at the right time and right place, we are asking for feedback from business operators via an online survey.
The survey will only take 15 minutes to complete.
For the purposes of this survey, when we refer to ‘regulation’ and ‘regulators’ we mean services like Food Safety, Health & Safety, Licensing, Trading Standards and Fire & Rescue. We do not mean traffic enforcement officers or planning departments.
We know regulation can be difficult to navigate so we want to simplify the process and develop better relationships between businesses and regulators. We will use your feedback to develop ‘Better Business for All’, a more focused way of working together that aims to support businesses by making regulations easier to access and understand.
‘Better Business for All’(BBfA) is part of a national government initiative to reduce the regulatory burden on business. It is endorsed by the Better Regulation Delivery Office, which is part of the Department for Business Innovation and Skills.
We recognise that time is very important to you but we would really value your input. By giving us 15 minutes of your time to answer the following questions, it will help to shape the future of Business Support and Regulation across Devon and Somerset.
Data will be processed by Torbay Council in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. If you choose to give us personal information as part of this survey e.g. contact information, it will be shared with the Regulatory Consortium Members.
This survey will close on 29 March 2015.
