South West restaurants invited to offer exclusive tasting events at their premises

Local restaurants and food businesses are being invited to join Azu Spirits, a specialist Devon spirits company, to offer unique whisky tasting and food pairing events to customers.

Dartmoor-based Azu runs a range of popular whisky and gin tasting events, offering customers the opportunity to taste premium spirits through social, engaging group experiences. 

Tastings range from informal celebrations to intimate, exclusive offerings exploring rare and much sought-after single malt whiskies or craft gins. The events also offer the opportunity for attendees to discover the history and story behind the spirits, with the company’s expert team. 

Azu’s popular monthly Whisky Club Series, currently running at The Cridford Inn in the Teign Valley, provides an in-depth exploration into Scotch whisky with 30 single malts to explore and a new theme for each event.

With exclusive benefits for club members, and the opportunity for people to meet like-minded whisky enthusiasts, in a fun social setting, Azu strives to create a space where they can build long-lasting relationships with not only their customers but also the venues and companies they collaborate with. 

Each tasting includes six spirits, Azu’s Glencairn luxury nosing glasses, water pipettes, blind tasting content and wax-sealed ‘reveal’ envelopes for when guests are ready to discover which spirit is which. Whilst whisky tastings are perfect for the winter months and Burns Night celebrations, Azu also holds premium gin tasting events during the summer. These tastings offer the opportunity to discover a range of local craft gins, or explore famous British gins, with six renowned gin styles since the 18th century to discover.
