Plymouth's new public health brand unveiled

Plymouth’s new public health brand, Livewell, which was designed by a local brand and digital design agency has been unveiled to the public for the first time.

Ivybridge based Logo Marketing & Design completed the brand concept, logo and graphics for Plymouth Community Healthcare’s landmark public health initiative, Livewell, which went on public display for the first time at the Healthy Plymouth 2014 event in the city centre piazza earlier this month.

Healthy Plymouth drew 100s of visitors from across the city, with many stopping at Livewell’s stands to learn more about the brand’s services. Businesses and the public had their first chance to see how the initiative can help support a healthier lifestyle, meet the team and engage with the brand’s memorable design concept.

Logo Marketing & Design, which has also created the overall branding for Plymouth Community Healthcare, created the Livewell brand concept to be displayed across Plymouth Community Healthcare’s 22 vehicles, website, marketing materials and a set of exhibition stands. The 6-month creative project, which included the creation of a distinctive logo, brand identity and brand guidelines was extended across a range of healthier living topics such as stopping smoking, eating good food, exercise and breast feeding.

The Livewell team works with individuals to help them stop smoking, lose weight and get more active and also works with businesses to promote health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Sarah Doney, director at Logo Marketing & Design hopes the brand has resonance with the people of Plymouth: “It was important to create something fun, inspiring and positive and it was good to see 100s visit the stand and engage with the Livewell brand, it has been really well received by the public.

“Livewell is a significant landmark project for businesses and individuals across Plymouth and we’re certain the bright and distinctive branding concept, which graphically celebrates the team’s objective to ‘Livewell’, will help spread its message to encourage a healthier lifestyle.”

“Our team has expertise across a wide range of health sectors and we are able to give advice across a lot of different areas including alcohol, mental health and well being and general health. The Livewell brand had to encompass all of these different aspects, while being instantly recognisable and engaging.

“The branding looks really effective and translates well across all our marketing and promotional materials. The graphics are lively and represent perfectly what we are trying to achieve – the colourful logos look fantastic.”
