Sidmouth's illuminated trail Connaught@Christmas is getting ready for opening night on Friday December 9 – and snow has arrived right on time!
In fact, it’s not real snow but biodegradable, environmentally friendly snow that looks just like the real thing. And with temperatures set to be chilly for the next few days, it really does set the scene for the start of this festive event....
With the run up to Christmas well and truly underway, the Connaught@Christmas team has announced exciting new additions for the festive illuminations in Connaught Gardens in Sidmouth making the event, which runs from December 9 to 18, even more of an enchanting experience
The walled garden which was last year filled with lit Christmas trees is to be transformed into a pretty snow...
Brand new family-friendly illuminated experience at Connaught Gardens high above the sea at Sidmouth. There are nine different zones to see within the gardens which make use of the existing architecture, trees, flora, structures and flower beds to create very different looks for the enjoyment of all. These will use a combination of spotlights, light curtains, uplighters and tree lighting, all with energy efficient LED lamps. At the end of the trail, there's a stunning projection on to the cliffs and hillside above Jacob’s Ladder.
