Hays Education, the leading recruiting expert, has chosen Matt Bisco as Plymouth’s Outstanding Supply Teacher of the Term. The award, which was presented to Matt, is in recognition of his work as a supply teacher and providing exceptional support to pupils and staff alike.

Matt says “Receiving this award was a genuine surprise. The supply teacher visitor badge can come with certain stigmas to overcome but this goes a great way to endorse the excellent support I have received both from Stowford School and Hays.

"It has been a powerful period in my teaching career in ways that I previously hadn't expected. Being presented with the award in person, during the celebration assembly, meant a lot and the children have since been generously congratulating me.

"I was proud to stand among heroes with swimming badges and judo medals, and huge thanks go to them and the schools I have had the opportunity to work with so closely."

"Mr Bisco has inspired the children with his artistic creativity and talents. We have been lucky to have him as part of the team at Stowford," says Helen Tipping of Stowford School, in Ivybridge, Devon

Amy Mann, Manager at Hays Education, comments: “We are pleased to be able to recognise the vital role that supply teachers’ plays in educational institutions. Supply teaching offers independence, flexibility, variety and the opportunity to learn something new and meet new people. We extend our congratulations to Matt on his award.”
